What is Google for Creators?

Google for Creators is an outreach & education program to help all creators succeed by taking their online presence to the next level. Our programming includes guides, tutorials & resources focused on upleveling your content creation strategy, events to build community, and useful information about Google’s creator tools.

Why did you start Google for Creators?

We at Google are invested in helping content creators, and believe the web can be a platform with potential for creators of all types. By bringing the best of Google and the creator community together, we aim to give you a single place to find everything you need to be successful with Google.

How do I claim and verify my Search profile?

You can start claiming your profile by clicking here. While going through setup, you'll be asked to login into and link your supported platforms to verify your identity.

Who is eligible to have a Search profile?

Search profiles are designed for individual creators, publishers, and organizations who are actively creating content and have an established online presence. To be eligible for a profile, you must have a public profile with at least 100,000 followers on a single supported platform—Instagram, YouTube, or X. If you only have a public profile on TikTok, you must have at least 300,000 followers.

Search profiles are currently available in the US with plans to expand to other countries later in the year.

How can I access my Search profile?

Once you've claimed your profile, you can visit “profile.google.com/account” to access your profile on the web, or tap your avatar in the Google App and navigate to “Your Search profile.”

Where does my Search profile appear?

People can see your profile when searching for your name or handle on Google Search, or from seeing your content on Google Discover. If you don't see a Knowledge Panel appear when you search for your name, it can be because there are other individuals or organizations with similar names.

Does this replace my existing Knowledge Panel?

No, it enhances your existing Knowledge Panel. For individuals and publishers, claiming your profile directly shapes your knowledge panel, adding key elements from your profile — like your profile photo, added links, and pinned posts — to your Knowledge Panel.

For businesses and brands, your Knowledge Panel will remain unchanged and connected to your Google My Business or brand profile.

How can I learn more about Search profiles?

You can follow the Google for Creators Instagram and YouTube channels to stay up-to-date on the latest and join our Discord community
